Super Green Blender Juice

I love juice. But as you’ve no doubt heard, the juicing process usually provides us a with a massive hit of sugar and also removes the valuable fibre that fruit and veges provide. So I don’t drink extracted juice very often. My Super Green Blender Juice though is another story. This is a good egg, using whole fruit and vegetables with skin on, this juice reduces the amount of produce need to create a “juice” and gives you all of that importance fibre that is vital for our bowel health. With the addition of natural yogurt and whey, it could perhaps be considered to be more a smoothie that a juice, but you can be the judge of that!

Perhaps more a smoothie than a juice but sensational either way!

Ingredients
  1. 3 kale leaves, washed
  2. 1 Lebanese cucumber, washed
  3. 2 kiwi fruit
  4. 1 granny smith apple, washed
  5. 3/4 cup of whey from yogurt (or you can use water)
  6. 1/4 cup natural yogurt
Instructions
  1. Remove the thicker stalky bits from the kale and tear leaves into rough pieces
  2. Top and tail cucumber and roughly chop
  3. Remove skin from kiwi and cut fruit in half
  4. Remove core from apple, leave skin on and roughly chop
  5. Process all ingredients in blender until it reaches a drinkable consistency, you may need to add more yogurt/whey/water to achieve this.
  6. Poor into a glass and enjoy!
Notes
  1. Don't forget to give the waste from the fruit and veges to your chickens, or pop it in the compost.
  2. I also like to add a tablespoon of Olive Leaf Extract to the mix, do so if you wish.
